Corey Tullier and John Deshotel, partners of 7 years, joined
the Krewe of Apollo – Baton Rouge in March of 2006. In their
first year, they costumed in Bal Masque XXVI “A Step in Time.
In a production involving 12 characters, they brought Tut and
Nefertiti to vivid life.
Corey and John returned to the stage during Bal Masque XXVII, “They All Asked for You.” Part of a cast of 15, they presented
an undersea world: Corey as a mermaid, John as Aquaman. Corey had the privilege of serving the Krewe as Co-Captain with Joe Boniol. John was proud to serve as a lieutenant. Corey and John made their third appearance in Apollo during last year's Bal Masque XXVIII, “And The Envelope, Please”. Corey took the runway as the maniacal Joker while John swooped in as Batman.
The two of them served as Krewe secretaries for the past two years. Both are recipients of the Hal S. Phillips, Jr. Memorial President’s Award; Corey in 2008 and John in 2009.
Corey is the general manager of Greenoaks Memorial Park, Funeral Home and Life Celebration Reception Center. John is a registered nurse: he works for Sage Rehabilitation Hospital as a Clinical Liaison and part time at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Orthopedics.
Corey and John are very excited to lead the Krewe of Apollo
– Baton Rouge during the 2009-2010 year and look forward to
presenting Bal Masque XXIX:
“Tales From the Dark, Apollo’s Horror”
